Sunset camel ride

Sunset camel ride

We booked this online and was pleasantly surprised. Our driver Hussain greeted us at our hotel reception on time and was very hospitable. The minibus was clean and had wi-fi (BONUS). Hussain showed us all the landmarks on our way and told us some history about the king’s palace. He spoke English and was very nice. He went above and beyond for the entire journey.

We arrived at the starting point in the most peculiar place. We were expecting a desert, however the journey was incredible. Our camel guide Mohammed was friendly and stopped off at many points to take pictures. His English was broken but we could understand him. I rode James the Camel who lead the way and my husband rode Zachariah. The sunset was breathtaking and we were blown away. We got to see the rural parts of Agadir which was nice. At times we saw rubbish, stray animals and local people. This was an experience as we were use to touristy places and luxury. We got to see ‘real’ Agadir on a camel!

We then stopped off in a small hut, here we were given mint tea and fruit. There was also a sink and anti bac to wash our hands. The BBQ meat was cooked fresh in front of us and smelt divine. We were given a large basket of bread, Morocco Salad and water. In regards to meat, we were given chicken and meat sausages (there wasn’t much variety but more than enough for us both and some Left over) Again, we were expecting 5* bbq on the beach but were blown away by the authentic surroundings and cuisine.
